May 5, 2006, Newsletter Issue #167: A Quick and Easy Make up Routine

Tip of the Week

Make up application should not take up half your morning. Ten minutes is a good amount of time to do your entire face. If you are looking for a fast fix you can try a stick foundation for easy application.

Here is an example of a basic routine that should only take about five minutes to complete. Start with clean moisturized face. Apply your foundation over your entire face and follow with powder. Next, move on to your eyes, starting with an eye shadow base and then your eyeliner and mascara, which will help catch the stray power and prevent it from sticking under your eyes. After the mascara get out your blush while the mascara is drying. Brush on a light coat of blush and then go back to your eyes and apply your shadow (one or two colors). The last thing to do is finish with another light dust of powder, line your lips and then fills them in with some lipstick or gloss.

A five minute routine is all you need to look fabulous in the morning and start you day “on the right foot”.
