April 14, 2006, Newsletter Issue #164: Camouflaging Birthmarks

Tip of the Week

Wanting to cover unwanted birthmarks and blemishes is a common reflex. There are products on the market like camouflage make up that are designed to cover dark areas. Dermablend (Leg and Body Cover Cream) and Covermark (Leg and Body Worship Kit) both make body make up specifically formulated for your legs that does a fairly good job covering birthmarks and other spots.

Bleaching creams will work sometimes, but you have to be extremely careful when using them and should probably consult a dermatologist before attempting to bleach the area. Lemon juice may help but probably won’t do much to correct the problem.
